Speaker 1

Hi, I'm here to learn how to use Tyrvaya nasal spray along with you. I've used other nasal sprays before, but Tyrvaya might be a little different than what I'm used to. So, I invited an expert to help us out!

Speaker 2

Salutations. Now, before you use Tyrvaya, there is some important information you need to know. One, Tyrvaya is for use in the nose.

Speaker 1

(whispers) So, don't try to put it in your eyes.

Speaker 2

Two, do not shake the bottles. The Tyrvaya carton contains enough medicine for 30 days. Each carton has two glass nasal spray bottles.

Speaker 1

So, each nasal spray bottle has enough medicine for 15 days of treatment.

Speaker 2

Do not open the second bottle until you've used the entire first bottle.

Speaker 1

One bottle at a time. Got it.

Speaker 2

Shall we commence?

Speaker 1

Yeah. Let's do this!

Speaker 2

First, we will review the necessary steps for priming.

Speaker 1

Priming means getting the nasal spray ready to use for the first time.

Speaker 2

The first step is to remove the cap. Now grasp the clip and pull it off. Don't throw them away. You will put them back on the nasal applicator after each use. Hold Tyrvaya upright and away from your face. Now, place your index finger and middle finger on each side of the nasal spray applicator, and place your thumb underneath the bottle.

Speaker 1

He means…do this.

Speaker 2

Fully press and release the nasal applicator seven times with your thumb and fingers. Spray away from yourself and others. You may feel some resistance but be sure to press all the way down. You may not see a spray released each time you press and release the nasal applicator. You should see a spray by the 7th time you press and release.

Speaker 1

(whispers) One, two, three.
There it is.
(whispers) Four, five, six, seven.

Speaker 2

Avoid priming Tyrvaya more than needed, as it will reduce the amount of medicine in the nasal spray bottle. This priming step is necessary to make sure the nasal spray bottle releases the right amount of Tyrvaya for the first use, and it will not impact the number of doses available in the bottle. Tyrvaya is now ready for use.

Speaker 1

Great!

Speaker 2

Remember, if you haven't used Tyrvaya for more than five days, then you will need to reprime the nasal spray bottle with one spray before you use it. To reprime, hold the nasal spray bottle upright and away from your face and fully press and release the nasal spray applicator one time.

Speaker 1

Got it!

Speaker 2

Now, let's go over the steps for using Tyrvaya after priming. Blow your nose to clear your nostrils, if needed.

Speaker 1

All clear!

Speaker 2

If the cap and clip are on your bottle, remove them. Do not throw them away. They are to be placed back on to the nasal applicator after each use.

Speaker 1

I know, you said that part already.

Speaker 2

Hold Tyrvaya upright. Place one finger on each side of the base of the nasal spray applicator, and place your thumb underneath the bottle. Tilt your head back slightly without lying down. It may be helpful to use a mirror to view yourself the first few times that you administer Tyrvaya. Insert the nasal applicator into the left or right nostril. To aid in helping you spray at the correct angle, it may be useful to hold the applicator in the hand that is opposite to the nostril you are spraying into.

Speaker 1

For example, use your right hand for your left nostril. Or vice versa.

Speaker 2

Tilt the nasal applicator and point the tip of the nasal applicator towards the top of the ear on the same side as your nostril. The aim here is important, because the nerve in your nose responsible for activating glands and cells around your eyes is located there.

Speaker 1

Science. Amazing, isn't it?

Speaker 2

Do not press the tip of the nasal applicator against the wall of your nose. Leave a space between the tip of the applicator and the wall of your nose. Place your tongue to the roof of your mouth.

Speaker 1

Like this.

Speaker 2

Now, make sure you breathe gently while fully pressing and releasing the nasal applicator once to spray into your nostril. Now, repeat administration in the other nostril. To do so, switch the bottle to the other hand. Wipe the nasal applicator with a clean tissue. Then replace the clip and cap.

Speaker 1

Voilà!

Speaker 2

And that completes all the steps. Repeat these steps each time you use Tyrvaya.

Speaker 1

We did it!

Speaker 2
